It’s FINALLY here!! Lilly Pulitzer released their first shipment of their summer collection yesterday and nobody is more excited than I am. Lilly does summer style better than anyone I know and they truly embody resort365. I have missed working in the store for the past 4 (almost 5) months and I cannot wait to be back in just 12 days just in time for Splash into Summer and our one year anniversary! It’s so crazy that I’ve been working at Lilly for a year, time sure does fly. Lilly is really bringing out the resort boho chic this year judging by this new collection and I am super excited to get back to the store to try some of these beauties on.
Can we take a minute to talk about the new accessories. The brand has really been trying to add to their repertoire of shoes, bags, and jewelry and it shows. I mean, wrap up espadrilles and tassel gladiators…yes please! Also they finally are selling the arm cuffs that everybody seems to ask for!! I for one will be purchasing an arm cuff. I definitely won’t pull it off as well as the Lilly models do but here’s to trying!
Everything that I love from this new shipment is linked below! I couldn’t fit everything I love into one post so you can shop everything from the newest Summer shipment here!
| Essie Dress | Mila Shift | Klee Romper | Linnea Set | Caridee Maxi Dress | Shirley Top | Clam Shell Clutch | Erica Espadrille | Via arm cuff |
I think I have found the greatest shirt for summer, period. Thick enough for night wear, but not too thick that you can’t wear it during the daytime. It’s cotton, making it casual, but tailored to dress up for an evening out. The striped boat neck tee from J.Crew is the answer to all of your wardrobe question marks.
I stumbled upon this tee during a J.Crew surprise sale. It was $20 plus 50% off making it just $10, what a steal!! I loved the fun and classic colors of the peony and navy, it just screams prep. Like I mentioned earlier, the shirt is very substantial but isn’t too thick to wear out during a sunny summer afternoon with some shorts. These tees come in a variation of different colors from this pink/navy combo to red/cream and navy/ivory. I paired mine with a pair of jean shorts, my favorite navy and white Jack Rogers and my Anchor Hitch necklace from Kiel James Patrick. If you like what you see and want it for yourself, shop the post below! Enjoy!

If you have been following me on Instagram, you might have recently seen that I took a trip down to Old Alexandria with my cousin, Anna, last weekend! I had never been to Old Town before and honestly, it exceeded every expectation I had. From the breathtaking 18th century cobblestone streets to the American flags that graced every street, Old Town is a site to see in person.
While there, I made sure to make my way down to the waterfront where some beautiful boats of the Alexandria residents are docked. I made sure to take advantage of the beautiful background and the vibrant blue sky and snapped a few shots of this fun end-of-summertime outfit featuring Brooks Brothers.
I have always been a big fan of Brooks Brothers but because there is no Brooks Brothers store close to me, it sometimes slips further down on my shopping list than say J.Crew or Lilly Pulitzer. I’ve been checking the Brooks Brothers website almost everyday, each morning with a new adoration for their classic prep pieces.
While at the docks in Old Town, I paired my sailors wheel embroidered shorts with my favorite navy and pink rugby from Brooks Brothers. This rugby shirt is so different from others because the collar is stiff and ruffled — a lot girlier than the normal rugby shirt. If you can’t already tell how in love I am with this shirt, maybe the fact that I have not one, but two will sell you. Also, make sure to check out my Instagram @dailydoseof_prep for more pictures!

Once again, I’m back to share another Vineyard Vines Shep Shirt outfit of the day. Y’all know I love these way too much to not continue to share my favorite ways to style them! Today I am wearing a pair of jean shorts from Old Navy paired with a cotton striped painters tee from J.Crew (on sale!). I wore a VV Shep Shirt over top to help protect from the sun in addition to a classic whale logo baseball cap in white. For shoes, I styled this look with my navy and white Jack Rogers and carried my Vineyard Vines classic boat tote for extra storage.
If you’re a regular to Daily Dose than you might have noticed that pink and navy is my favorite color combination so it’s no surprise that this is one of my favorite summer looks. To recreate this look, I’ve linked below where you can purchase these items (if not similar) items! Enjoy!

Nothing is easier to throw on during the summertime than a cute romper. The relaxed ease of a cotton dress and the comfort of a pair of shorts, a romper is always the answer for me when I can’t figure out what to wear. This summer, I’ve seen a lot of people talk about Sail to Sable and the company’s fun colors and classic silhouettes. After a many read blog posts and a half dozen visits to their beautiful website, I knew I had to get my hands on some Sail to Sable summer wear.
Sail to Sable has everything from shorts, to tops, dresses and of course, rompers. I think rompers are particularly easy during the summer months and Sail to Sable’s are to die for. One romper that caught my eye overtime I visited the site was the Cotton Candy Romper. This breathtaking piece is made of crisp white fabric (lined of course) that meets a bright pink floral organza. The sheer shoulders and midriff make the garment that much more comfortable. To top it all off, the romper comes with pockets! Who doesn’t love a romper with pockets!!!
I paired this beautiful piece with my classic pearls and a pair of Palm Beach Sandals in gold and platinum. These sandals can now be found at the Designer Shoe Warehouse for a fraction of the cost!! Click here to shop my DSW Palm Beach Sandals!
